Way to upset me on Christmas.
Really? Like, you’re going to start this already, on Christmas? Thanks.
Really? Like, you’re going to start this already, on Christmas? Thanks.
Do you ever stop and think where we would be without our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? I know I sure do. This time of year, it is so very easy to get lost in the business of shopping and all of the preparations we have to do in order to get ready for the holidays. But why do we have this holiday? Is Christmas a time of year where we can anticipate Santa’s arrival, presents, and spending time with our family? Of course, these things have become a wonderful bonus. But what is December 25th exactly? Why does it mean so much?
On this day, a beautiful, precious infant was born to Mary, a virgin, in a manger. Imagine being so young, and having this beautiful child in your arms. How could that little baby be our Savior? How could such amazing miracles all be within such a small body? Well, that baby didn’t stay a baby. He grew up. And who that baby grew up to be was Jesus Christ, Wonderful, Kind, Sinless, Selfless, Miraculous Savior. Jesus grew up to be a man, a man whose life was lived without sin.
Where would we be if that baby was never born? Jesus was brought into this world, a world that was so undeserving of His Holiness, but He came. He came to save us and set us free from the binds of sin! He came so that we could bridge the gap that sin had left in our relationship with God. He came so that He could turn us, God’s people, into disciples, to go spread the Word of God! He came so that we could have access to Heaven, if only we are willing to accept it.
This time of year, everyone is so wrapped up in what presents to get for who. We never stop to think about how Jesus Christ is the BEST present we have ever received! And He is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Every second of every day, Jesus gives us forgiveness, a listening ear, a best friend. Jesus comes with no price tag, because He paid the price!
So not only on this day, but on all days, let’s not forget to recognize what a selfless and beautiful thing Jesus Christ did for us. Even though we were and still are sinners, stained and unholy, Jesus cleanses us with all that He is. And on Christmas, let’s be a little extra thankful that the sweet, precious, beautiful Baby Jesus came into this world, for us.
Happy Birthday, Jesus! Thank You for coming into a world that was not very nice to You, that was so undeserving of your all Holy presence, and saving us. Thank You for living Your life free of sin, and setting such a beautiful example for us. Thanks for allowing my sins to be forgiven. Thank You for listening to me, even when I’m annoying and I complain. Thanks for that unconditional love You alone show me, and I’m sorry that I take it for granted. I can’t wait to be in Heaven and celebrating Your birthday with You. You are the best thing in my life, and the best present I could ever ask for. I love You, more than anything in this whole entire world, and I know I’m not the best at showing it, but You mean everything and more to me. You alone are my Savior, and without You, I can do nothing. <3

Hazy | Rosi Golan (feat. William Fitzsimmons)
because without you things go hazy.
is for my… person? to come cuddle and watch Christmas movies with me. Honestly, this is not asking too much, why can’t I get it?
When I say…”I am a Christian”
I’m not shouting “I am saved”
I’m whispering “I get lost!”
“That is why I chose this way.”When I say…”I am a Christian”
I don’t speak of this with pride.
I’m confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide. When I say…”I am a Christian”
I’m not trying to be strong.
I’m professing that I’m weak
and pray for strength to carry on.When I say…”I am a Christian”
I’m not bragging of success.
I’m admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt. When I say…”I am a Christian”
I’m not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are too visible
but God believes I’m worth it.When I say…”I am a Christian”
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His name.When I say…”I am a Christian”
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I’m loved.
